FAQ & GARMENT CARE

Practical guidance to preserve the fabrics, colour and structure of Leverson garments. The care label inside each garment always takes priority.

How do I remove stains from linen?

Act as soon as possible by blotting the stain without rubbing. Use cold or lukewarm water and a gentle detergent suitable for the garment. Avoid bleach and aggressive stain removers; for persistent stains, professional cleaning is preferable.

How do I wash a silk shirt?

Always follow the garment care label. When home washing is allowed, use cold water, a detergent for delicates and very gentle handling. Do not wring silk or leave it soaking for long periods.

How do I prevent linen from shrinking?

If the care label allows machine washing, use a delicate cycle at 30 °C and a low spin speed. Avoid high temperatures and hot tumble drying. Reshape the garment while damp and let it dry naturally.

How should linen and silk be ironed?

Linen irons best while slightly damp. For silk, use a low temperature, preferably on the reverse side, with a protective cloth between the iron and the fabric. Always follow the care label.

How do I preserve colour and finishes?

Wash garments inside out when appropriate, separate light and dark colours, and avoid high temperatures and strong spin cycles. Limit prolonged sun exposure during drying and storage.

How should Leverson garments be stored?

Store them clean and completely dry in a cool, dry place. Use suitable hangers for shirts and jackets, avoid prolonged compression, and protect delicate fabrics from direct light and humidity.
